Pressure Systems

Pressure systems come in two basic forms today. The time honoured system with pressure vessel that holds water under pressure ready for supply as required, and the new constant pressure control system that does not require any pressure vessel, instead is starts the pump each time any water flow is detected.

Onga JS pump range

The JS range of pumps from Onga offer a stainless steel and plastic construction. It is a jet pump that offers very good pressure and will not contaminate your drinking water in anyway. It can be purchased in three formats.

This can form the basis of an inexpensive pumping system without pressure controller.

This system can be used for drawing water from below the level of the pump or mounted at the base of the tanks as in the press control system. For best service this system does require a small amount of maintenance every 3 months. This can be done by most people and will take only 2 to 3 minutes. 

 The press control system can not be used when drawing water from below the pump and is best suited to applications where the pump is mounted at, or near, the base of the water tank. It offers the advantages of low maintenance and constant pressure.

Grundfos CH range of house pressure pumps

Grundfos have been reconised as manufacturers of quality pumps for many years. These pumps offer quite running with long service lives and always satisfy the customer needs. Constructed mostly of stainless steel these European pumps offer quality. 

The CH range of pumps is ideal for household pressure units. They offer quite running and long life. They are not self-priming pumps, thus ideally suited to flooded suction situations. That is that they like to be at the same level as the base of the tank.

They are available in the traditional pressure system or the constant pressure "Press Control" electronic controller.
